Working with me as a copywriter
I sit alongside you to figure out who your brand is, the people you can help and the best way to get you where you want to go. Because being clear at the start saves you time and money in the end.
I help you discover the tone of voice, the market offering and the reasons why someone will pick you instead of your competitors. Because business is a game I want to help you win.
I show you my progress, keep you informed and deliver on time. Because I hate being stuffed around, and I am sure you do too.
more than copy
In addition to copywriting, I published a book called Enemy with Penguin in March 2016. It won the 2017 Asher Literary Award from the Australian Society of Authors. My work has also appeared in Meanjin, Elle, The Good Weekend and Better Reading. You can find out more about Enemy at www.ruthclare.com
I have participated in literary panels at the Brisbane Writers Festival, Emerging Writers Festival and many others, as well as being a keynote and public speaker on resilience, overcoming adversity, childhood trauma, domestic violence and the impact of war on veterans and their families. Find out more about my speaking engagements.
Fresh out of school, I did a degree in biochemistry and journalism. I put this education to very poor use by becoming an actor, appearing in Neighbours, Blue Heelers, Stiff, as well as in many short films and commercials. I am still known to put my head in front of a camera if the opportunity arises.
